Introduction

The creation of RPAddict was not at all preconceived, it was one of those rare, serendipitous events. SiliceB put out a poll asking if people had lost their role-playing partner/s and were no longer able to play. In reaction to the answer the poll had initially received, it was changed to asking 'Are you role-play -addicted?'

On Sep 6, 2008, SiliceB created this club in response to the unanswered need of all addicted role players on Deviantart. Some are new to it, but many have been addicted for a long time. When a game suddenly dies, or a partner is nowhere to be found, facing your role-play addiction becomes a harsh reality. But now, instead of going through months of withdrawal, you can come to RPA to find a new partner!

I have noticed that club activity has died down quite dramatically and have begun to wonder if everyone understands how to use this club to partner up. Please give feedback on this issue so I can discern if I should set up a guide on the front page to help explain!

How to find a Role-play Partner

When you join RPA you fill out an Application Form. The Application Form is made up of two forms. One of the forms is the information we need to create your RPA ID and the second is your Player Preference Form. The Player Preference Form allows other RPA members to see if you have interests similar to theirs and helps them determine if your role-play styles are compatible. From there they can contact you about a game.

There is a DeviantArt submission for each member of RPA. The title of the deviation contains their member number and DA username. The image within the submission is their RPA ID, and in the artist's comments you can find their filled out Player Preference Form.

Instead of having to go through each member's ID page we have something called Member Matchup. This section of the club is a listing of genre's that has the names of role-players listed beneath each genre they like. This hopefully will save you time and energy by narrowing down your search. It would be insanity to have to open up and check each member ID, especially once we have more members!

Role-play Rules

No role-play is to take place on the RPAddict account or chat. This club is a venue to hook up individuals who have similar interests so they can role-play and discuss role-play in general.

The three places on RPA itself where you can talk to each other in detail about games are... The RPA Chat, Member Match Up and Member's RPA ID Pages

If you plan to play games that will include mature content be sure of the age of the other player/s. A member over 18 playing with a member under 18 could potentially land the over 18 member in a lot of trouble.

Any member of RPA caught lying about their age in order to play a mature game with an older role-player will immediately be removed from the club.

RPAddict is in no way responsible for the success or quality of your role-play experience. There are sure to be cases where you do not click with the other player/s, or simply do not get along. If you are not enjoying the game polity cancel it in a mature fashion and look for another partner.

If someone cancels a game with you please do not take it personally. Understand the game was just not working out and that there will be plenty of other opportunities to find a partner who will be a good fit.

It is RPAddit's hope that everyone will find great role-play partners and friends through this club. However, in the case you do not like someone do not publicly insult them. If you are unkind about another player it only reflects badly on you. Lets all be mature and kind to one another and enjoy role-playing togeather.

Outside of everything stated here it is up to the individual role-players to organize and decide the terms of their games.


General Rules

Any member found spamming, or breaking DeviantArt's rules will be immediately removed, no ands ifs or buts.

Members breaking RPAddict's rules will receive warnings. Only repeat offenders who are intentionally breaking rules will be removed.

Deviantart and RPAddict are in no way responsible for personal information you choose to give out to other people. Trust your instincts and always be careful.

Introducción

El crear RPAddict no fue algo premeditado, fue una cosa extraña, algo que sucedió.SiliceB pregunto a la gente si había perdido su compañero de roleo o ya no estaban en condiciones de jugar. En respuesta a los comentarios recibidos pregunto en otra encuesta ¿Eres un adicto al juego de rol?


Después de la respuesta dada por todos los adictos al roleo en Deviantart, el 6 de Septiembre del 2008, SiliceB creo el club. Algunos son nuevos en esto, pero hay muchos otros que llevan la adicción durante largo tiempo. Cuando un juego de repente muere, o el compañero no se encuentra disponible, la adicción al roleo se vuelve algo pesado por la necesidad o ganas de hacerlo. Pero ahora en lugar de esperar meses para poder rolear puedes encontrar un nuevo compañero en RPA.

Como encontrar un compañero de Rol

Cuando te unes a RPA llenas un formulario( Application Form ). Este formulario se compone de dos formas. Una de ellas es la que necesitamos para crear tu RPA ID y la segunda es tu hoja de preferencias. El formulario de preferencia del roleador permite a otros miembros de RPA observar cuales son tus intereses y si son similares a los de ellos y ayuda a determinar si su estilo de roleo es compatible. Apartir de eso puede contactarse contigo.

Hay una Submission para cada uno de los miembros del RPA. El titulo de esta contiene el nombre y numero de usuario del DA asi como una imagen proporcionada por el mismo, en el comentario del Artista se encuentra las referencias acerca del roleaodr.

En lugar de tener que pasar por cada una de las ID de los miembros tenemos algo llamado Member Matchup. Esta seccion es una lista donde se encuentran los nombres de los roleadores listado en cada genero que les gusta. Esperamos que esto ahorre tiempo y energia reduciendo la busqueda.Seria una locura tener que abrir y revisar cada una de las ID de los miembros, sobre todo una vez que tengamos mas miembros.

Asegurense de leer el reglamento general asi como las del roleo antes de unirse.


Role-play Reglas

Ningún roleo se llevara acabo en la cuenta de RPAddict o en el chat. Este club es solo para conectar a las personas con intereses similares con el fin de que puedan rolear y discutir sobre el rol en general.

Hay tres lugares de RPA donde se puede hablar con otro acerca de detalles del juego, estos son el RPA Chat, Member Match Up y la pagina de las ID de los miembros.

Si planeas jugar con algún contenido para Adultos asegurate de la edad correspondiente de quien será tu compañero. Un miembro de 18 jugando con uno de menor edad puede meter en líos al mayor.

Cualquier miembro que sea atrapado tratando de engañar sobre su verdadera edad con el fin de jugar con contenido adulto con un jugador de mayor edad será inmediatamente removido del club.

RPAddict no es de ninguna forma responsable sobre la calidad o el éxito que se tenga en la experiencia con el rol. Hay casos en los que no hay química con el otro jugador o simplemente no se llevan bien. Si no estas disfrutando del rol cancela de forma madura el mismo y busca otro compañero.

Si alguien cancela algún rol contigo por favor no lo tomes personalmente. Entiende que es solo un juego y que habrá muchas mas oportunidades de encontrar a alguien mas que se ajuste a tus preferencias.

RPAddict tiene la esperanza de cada uno pueda encontrar compañeros de rol así como amigos en el club. En cualquier caso de que no te agrade alguien se te pide no insultarlo públicamente. Si eres cruel con algún otro jugador esto solo refleja lo malo que eres. Seamos maduros el uno con el otro y disfrutar del rol juntos.

Fuera de todo lo dicho aquí, esta en el roleador el organizar y decidir los términos sobre el rol.

Reglas en General

Cualquier miembro que sea encontrado haciendo spam o quebrante alguna regla del Deviantart será removido inmediatamente sin ningún pero.

Aquellos que rompan alguna regla del RPAddict recibirán una advertencia. Sólo los infractores reincidentes que rompan intencionalmente las reglas serán removidos.
